<Dalton (Daltonese: Далтон), officially the Republic of Dalton, is a micronation and constituent country of New Canada located on the northeast part of the island of Great Britain. It consists of six enclaves of England, the United Kingdom. Dalton became a constituent country within the New Canada when it merged with two other micronations, the Kingdom of Rosettia and New Wales.

Background

Dalton was founded by Robert Garside. It is loosely based on the Slavic Europe, Russia and Prussia. It consists of a Caravan site, a privately owned property and its territory, as well as an abandoned allotment, a small enclave, a renovated stable, a small field and an acre of land on the Moon. These make up five Oblasts. The nation is a ]Rebublic which has has a President and a Wig Lord (Prime Minister) holding the most executive power. Also, Dalton is a Fifth World micronation.
History Edit
The micronation of St. Robertsburg can trace its beginnings to 4-5 years ago, when Robert Garside and his friend Jack Jobson created the nation of St. Robertsburg. Back then, the nation had claimed the whole of Garside's street. It was declared independent when Jobson waved the flag over Garside's head and sang the old national anthem. The nation was unprofessional, lacking a coat of arms, using the same flag as England, and having a very simple national anthem which was just "St. Robertsburg" sung repetitively. For this reason, the nation was forgotten within a few weeks. In the years afterward, Garside and his friends tried to reform the nation. In 2010, Robert and his friend Alfie attempted to form a micronation; they marched through Robert's territory, holding the flag (a glove on a stick) claiming the street as well as making a military base. But the nation lacked almost all the qualifications of a micronation (even a name) it was abandoned very soon after. On the 9th December 2011, Robert discovered other micronations on the internet, so he recreated St. Robertsburg on the following day. This time, the nation's territory consisted of only Roberts house and it's two gardens. Robert proclaimed himself Emperor. Although the nation was much smaller, the reborn nation was much more professional. Shortly after, an acre of land was bought on the Moon, purchased from MoonEstates. On the 7th January 2012, Robert and Alfie formed Dalton when Alfie claimed his house and also a near by abandoned allotment know as the "Die of The Dead". Dalton then became a Dictatorship, with Robert Graside as the Head of State. Dalton then merged with the micronations of Rosettia and New Wales forming the States of New Canada. After the merge, Dalton became a] Republic, with a structured, Goverment system. In the new Republic Robert was ellected in as President. Alfie's house claim (Gaterburg) was made much smaller after a dispute between Robert and Alfie's father. This lead to Alife loosing his power.

Current Government Edit
The nation is ruled and controlled by New Canadian Government which is ruled by the citizens, who change the country based on votes of issues delivered to the Royal Families of New Canada by vote collectors. Presidential elections are held every four years. Robert Garside is the current standing President of the nation and Wagon-Master General of the Military of Dalton. Wig Lords are the most senior member of the Cabinet after the President, Wig Lord elections run parallel to Presidential elections.
War and ConflictsEdit
The Daltonese Government has decided that the country shall be neutral in all armed conflicts. It is illegal for Dalton to enter a war without being physically attacked first. Dalton was involved in The Loch War with local thugs, after the war, the Daltonese government signed a traty preventing "War in all forms, unless if the nation was attacked". Dalton still has a Military which acts as a Peacekeeping force, but will fight only in the rare case of an attack.

Dalton is divided into oblasts, 1st level administrative divisions within Dalton. Dalton's territory held within yellow border, oblasts are marked with a purple label.

LanguageEdit
English and Macedonian are both official in Dalton. English is spoken by the whole populations, but Macedonian is only spoken by a minority. Never the less, Macedonian is equally official as English in Dalton. And is found on most signs, especially in Northern Enclaves. Below are previous attempts to create a language.
Cowenhassian Edit
The Cowenhassian Language was the official language of Dalton, a variation of Williamsian, but uses the Cyrillic Alphabet and is no longer a national language of Dalton. It is only spoken in the Oblast of Cowenhasse, where it is was official language. Dalton was the only country of New Canada to convert from Latin to Cyrillic when writing Williamsian.
DaltoneseEdit
Daltonese is a language in the early stages of developement which is being invented "from scratch". It is not a modified version of English like Cowenhassian, but a real language. It is confirmed it will use the Cyrillic Script and have many Noun Similarities to Macedonian.
CurrencyEdit
Dalton uses the Micen as the main and official currency. The Pound Sterling is still used legally in Dalton, but is mainly used for trade and purchase in the UK. The Pound Sterling is not recognised by the Daltonese Government as an official currency of Dalton. The Irish pound, Macedonian Denar and Pound Sterling are also accepted in Daltonese shops.
CuisineEdit
Pasta is very common in Daltonese cuisine along with Emmental and Wenslydale Cheese. Wensleydale is especially eaten in the capital Akebar, since is is located in the geographical region of Wensleydale, Yorkshire, where the cheese is produced. Caesar Salad is the Nation Dish of Dalton where it is known as "Kampung" Daltonese for "Village". Kampung uses the addition of Pigeon Meat, Pasta and Spinach in comparison to a standard Caesar Salad. Pigeon Meat is also eaten heavily in Dalton, where it finds its self as a much preferred alternative to chicken alternative. Pigeon is especially enjoyed by especially by the current Wig Lord Martin Garside.
Technology Edit
Dalton has an expanding Merchant Navy which consists of two inflatable dinghies, the nation is also planning to buy a small Fishing Boat. Dalton is also experimenting in Aviation. The nation is experimenting with Ex-Military Supply Drop Parachutes and hopes to purchase a Microlight.
